His Touch

Hi!!!
Alright can everyone get your Bibles out and flip to Luke 8:40-56:
 40 So it was, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed Him, for they were all waiting for Him.

A Woman is Healed

41 And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell down at Jesus feet and begged Him to come to his house,42 for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying.43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any,44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.45 And Jesus said, Who touched Me? When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, Who touched Me? 46 But Jesus said, Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.48 And He said to her, Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.

Jairuss Daughter is Raised

49 While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogues house, saying to him, Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.51 When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl.52 Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.53 And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.54 But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, Little girl, arise.55 Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat.56 And her parents were astonished, but He charged them to tell no one what had happened.

Today it seems that there are people who believe that God puts sickness on you, or that He can heal you if He chooses to. He does heal us and His will is for us to be well. It says in the Bible that by Jesus' striped we are healed! So if you are believing for a miracle and it hasn't showed up yet. Don't lose hope. Jesus is waiting to heal you and He is writing your story and knows what is best for us. It says in the Bible-   For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. -Isaiah 55:8
If you are at a point in your life why you just don't understand why things are going the way they are. Then ask God, because He is waiting to answer you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beauty and the Beast

So today I went to a musical at the local high school!!! It was so cool!!! And thanks Mrs. Terry for the tickets!!! All the actors and actresses did a fabulous job!!! :) At intermission I got a milky way one of my favorites . ;) Now we are back at home getting ready for some dinner guest and I have some schoolwork I need to get done. So ya.............................................................................................This got me thinking about true beauty. Today so many girls seem to find their beauty on their outward appearance instead of looking for inside beauty. Now I am not saying that make up is bad cause it's not. The only time it can be bad is if you make it an idol or get abscessed with it. The Bible says-

1 Peter 3:3-4

New International Version (NIV)

³ Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. ⁴ Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.\

So the next time you get ready for the day, pamper yourself not only outwardly but inwardly with the word of God!!!

Life Outside

 

I sat outside on my green blanket surrounded by blossoming flowers, humming bees, and a blue sky. :3) And I also caught up on some of my homework, which was nice. Tonight my family and I did an outreach!!!  It was so cool!!! And then I did zumba tonight and that was fun. I am gonna go eat some ice cream and maybe watch a chick flick hehe.... And I wanted to share a scripture with you-

  ¹ Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. ² Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. ³ For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is your^[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Air soft wars

 My brothers and there friends have been enjoying their air soft wars now that the weather is warm.

What is Patience?

Barbie Doll, reality?

Now for all the young ladies out there. I know the pressure that many of us go through to be this perfect thin magazine cover looking girl. Now let me just say, it's impossible and if you really looked like those girls you would be anorexic, which is not who God made you to be. Jesus loves you and accepts you for who you are. He loves you whether you are extremely skinny or heavy, short or tall, no matter what you've been through there is hope and it is found in Jesus Christ. Don't look for acceptance from other people it will only leave you hanging and wanting more. Sin's joy only last for a moment and soon it is all gone. So trust in Jesus and find your love and affection from a God who is alive, and real.

Power of the Tongue

I recently read this scripture: "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat it's fruits." Proverbs 18:21
What does that Mean?
It means that if you are speaking death then those things will come over you and you will be eating death's fruits. If you speak life then good things will come over you and you will eat life's fruit.
How do I control my tongue?
Well I would recommend thinking about what you're about to say and ask yourself am I speaking life or death, could what I am about to say hurt or offend someone?

Sometimes it is so easy to lash out with words when we get upset,but I know that with God's help we can talk nice and learn to speak when God wants us to speak and when not to speak. Right now I am working on watching my tongue and I wanted to pass on some advise to you. =)
